Tom has held high level positions during his career, including serving as legal counsel at one of the largest financial firms in NY and senior vice present at Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs; He has lectured on asset protection topics for the National Business Institute, and been a member of the American Bar Association’s Asset Protection Planning Committee. He is the author of “A Family Asset Protection Plan,” and he is a Certified Asset Protection Planner.
As a national practice attorney, he has provided $2.0 billion in transactions across the country, in the fields of asset protection, estate planning and corporate counsel services. He has been named a Top 10% National Lawyer of Distinction and named “Elite Advocate” by American Institute of Legal Advocates. Tom formed Liberty Street Capital as a financial firm and has been a portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley
Tom has provided expert testimony in Washington before the Senate Finance Committee, the House Ways and Means Committee and the US Commerce Committee. And he has advised two Presidential Campaigns, one during the post-election transition.
His diverse career developed after he received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia where he was a member of the Gridiron Society. Tom earned a law degree from Emory University and served as the President of Phi Delta Phi, as well as the Vice-President of the Student Bar Association. He also studied finance at New York University’s School of Business.
